BitSong Testnet
Test the new Hyperlane interoperability integration. Run a node, become a validator, and help shape the future of cross-chain music on BitSong.
Powered by Hyperlane
The primary goal of Crescendo-1 is to validate the new Hyperlane interoperability layer — enabling seamless cross-chain communication for the BitSong ecosystem.
Cross-Chain Messaging
Trustless communication between BitSong and other supported chains via Hyperlane's modular security.
Security Validation
Validate interchain security modules and trust models before mainnet deployment.
Fast Finality
Test high-throughput cross-chain transfers with near-instant message delivery.
What you can build & test
Run a Full Node
Install and run a BitSong node from source, binary, or Docker. Sync with the Crescendo-1 network.
Create a Wallet
Set up a BitSong wallet using Keplr, CosmJS, or the
bitsongd CLI to start interacting with the testnet.Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about the Crescendo-1 testnet and how to participate.
Crescendo-1 is the official BitSong public testnet designed to validate the new Hyperlane interoperability integration before mainnet deployment. It allows users, developers, and operators to test cross-chain communication, staking, governance, and node operations in a safe environment.
You can request free testnet BTSG tokens from the faucet page. Enter your
bitsong1... address and tokens will be sent to your wallet within seconds. Testnet tokens have no real value and are solely for testing purposes.Hyperlane is a modular interoperability protocol that enables trustless cross-chain communication. BitSong is integrating Hyperlane to allow seamless asset transfers and messaging between BitSong and other supported chains. The testnet validates this integration before it goes live on mainnet.
The minimum requirements are 4 CPU cores, 8 GB RAM, 200 GB SSD storage, and a stable internet connection. For validators, we recommend 8 CPU cores, 16 GB RAM, and 500 GB NVMe SSD for optimal performance. See the node setup guide for detailed instructions.
Yes! Anyone can create a validator on Crescendo-1. You will need to set up a full node, create a wallet, acquire testnet tokens from the faucet, and submit a create-validator transaction. Follow our validator guide for step-by-step instructions.
Testnet tokens have no monetary value and will not carry over to mainnet. Validator configurations are also testnet-specific. However, the experience and knowledge you gain will directly apply to running a mainnet validator once the Hyperlane integration is deployed.
Please open an issue on the go-bitsong GitHub repository with a detailed description of the bug, steps to reproduce, and any relevant logs. The team actively monitors and triages testnet issues.
